ASIA is pleased to confirm that “Face on the Bridge”, the first single from their forthcoming album XXX, has now been A-listed by Planet Rock, the well respected station in the UK.

A promo video has also been made on the song, which continues to be available on YouTube, and the single will be available to purchase from iTunes on 14th May 2012.

Their debut became the biggest selling album of 1982, spending 9 weeks at Number 1 in the charts, with reportedly 1 in every 13 US households owning a copy.  The pedigree of the four members and its iconic Roger Dean cover underpinned 9 classic rock songs that set the standard for numerous albums to follow.

The album also gave its audience the worldwide hit HEAT OF THE MOMENT which is still used in motion pictures and TV shows, such as The 40 Year Old Virgin and South Park.  The follow up single, ONLY TIME WILL TELL, was another worldwide smash hit.  As a measure of the album’s appeal, no less than 6 of the album’s 9 tracks were major radio hits in the United States.

Today, ASIA still performs with its original line-up of Geoff Downes, Steve Howe, Carl Palmer and John Wetton.  Their new album, XXX, due out on Frontiers Records in the summer, blends their unique individual talents and a new Roger Dean cover, showing the dragon 30 years later, to deliver an album that will appeal to fans around the world.

Asia will be headlining at the Weyfest Festival, which runs from 31st August – 2nd September, 2012. The band will be performing on Sunday, 2nd September.
